CapacityDesigned by Opus Institute as a general purpose construction Mech, the 'NL-9' Bobcat was instrumental in the efforts to restore the central wastelands after Impact Day. Salvager Bobcat teams were sent out to support in the reconstruction of settlements reduced to ruin by the impact, or buried under the ash. This proved an effective recruiting method for the Salvage Union.
Chassis Ability
Integrated Scrap Magnet
1 EPTurn Action // Range: Close // Rigging
When activated the Scrap Magnet creates a magnetic pull strong enough to draw in and carry Mech Chassis, Systems, Modules, and Scrap, counting as 12 Cargo Slots stored on the end of the magnet. The effect lasts as long as the Chassis is operable, and activating it again allows for more Scrap to be stored on the magnet.
Though against salvager safety procedure, the Scrap Magnet can be used against an active Mech or Vehicle, which becomes Immobile and gains the Vulnerable Trait until it escapes. However the Bobcat will also gain the Vulnerable Trait as the Mech grinds against the magnet.
The Scrap Magnet can be deactivated at any time as a Free Action, which drops everything carried.
Manic Miner
Developed as a mining and excavation Mech by Thatcher Steel, each worker was expected to complete their tasks in a strict time limit that was constantly monitored by the corpo. The Mechs would maniacally dart from point to point on excavation sites with little care for their or others' safety as long as it meant quotas were filled.
